District Lodge 250 continues to place
organizing as one of the top priorities by sending six members to the BC
Federation of Labour Organizing institute. The 3 day training program simulates
the key
tasks that an organizer faces during an organizing campaign.
The course covered the labour law surrounding organizing ,
researching, inoculating the workforce, inside committees,
election process, accessing today's workforce, and face to face
meetings.
The long days and intense drive is the reality of an organizing drive.
District 250 members were active in every role and successful in organizing
their assigned mock company, giving them tools and
energy for campaigns throughout the district.
